Peter Brown was recently ‘artist in residence’ in Rome and a handful of aspiring artists from all over the world joined him. They came from Australia, Taiwan, USA, Switzerland and the UK, each bringing their own styles. They had nine days painting alongside ‘Pete the Street’. Whilst Rome in June is packed with visitors the artists found tranquil places to works and local trattorias where they enjoyed convivial evenings together. Staying in the Monti district adjacent to the Roman Forum was perfect for them. Working from as early as 0545 hours until 1930 hours some days they produced lots of excellent work.
Indicative of the success of this trip they were already thinking about the next one – Sicily 2024?
